It’s an appetite for destruction.

Axl Rose, the frontman of Guns N’ Roses, is replacing lead singer Brian Johnson on AC/DC’s current world tour, according to a report from Alternative Nation.

On Tuesday, Jason Bailey, a DJ on Atlanta Radio 100.5, said that “a very very good source” confirmed to him that Rose is taking over singing duty for the Australian rockers.

“This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with the AC/DC group, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the 10 remaining shows. All 10, including Atlanta,” he said.

Brian Johnson was dismissed from AC/DC after his hearing problems forced the band to postpone 10 U.S. shows on their tour.

AC/DC RESCHEDULES 10 SHOWS ON U.S. TOUR TO SAVE SINGER BRIAN JOHNSON FROM ‘TOTAL HEARING LOSS’

Johnson was dismissed from AC/DC after his hearing problems forced the band to postpone 10 U.S. shows on their tour.

“From what I was told, this was all kind of new inside information to me, Angus is a very black and white guy,” Bailey said. “He’s like, Brian, for health reasons, can’t continue fronting the band. They’re in town, they were auditioning people for the job, and then they flew Axl in, again, this is from my source.”

Further confirmation came Wednesday night, from Ross Malcolm Young — nephew of Angus Young, the lead guitarist and founding member of AC/DC , and son of fellow band member Malcolm Young.

“It’s true,” Ross Malcolm Young wrote in a comment he shared on his personal Facebook page about Rose potentially replacing Johnson.

After Johnson found out the band was moving forward without him last week, he told comedian and podcaster Jim Brewer that his hearing problems were exaggerated by AC/DC and he felt he was “kicked to the curb.”

Rose is also set to tour with the original lineup of Guns N’ Roses for the first time in 23 years next month at two shows in Las Vegas before headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.

Rose’s rocky history with his own band is well-documented — at the height of Guns N’ Roses’ fame, he was known to show up late to shows.

As a solo artist touring with a revolving door of musicians prior to the Guns N’ Roses reunion, Rose was known to cover AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie” occasionally.
