Ricky Gervais has made some more enemies – and these ones carry guns.

In a soon-to-be released documentary about big-game hunting, “King of Beasts,” prominent lion-slayer Aaron Nielson gets his claws out for comedian, who has been a vocal critic of the sport.

Animal rights activist Gervais has made a habit of haranguing big game hunters on social media. In April last year he posed a picture of a woman lying next to a dead giraffe, captioning it, “What must’ve happened to you in your life to make you want to kill a beautiful animal & then lie next to it smiling?” He has also posted pleas like, “Poaching and Trophy Hunting are causing extinction. Don’t believe anything different. They kill for fun & money.”

“You guys can scream from the mountaintops about how they all want to protect wildlife – the Ricky Gervais’s of the world,” Neilson, who claims hunters actually protect wildlife, struck back in the film. “The worthless talking heads like Ricky Gervais, who tells us how bad we are, but yet you never put your money where your mouth is – you just put your mouth where you’re a** is.”
